Mostra Pixar!

The Pavilion of Contemporary Art in Milan presented the exhibition Pixar - 25 Years of Animation, curated by Maria Grazia Mattei in Italy, sponsored by the City of Milan - Culture, Expo, Fashion, Design and produced by the PAC Pavilion of Contemporary Art, 24 HOURS Culture - Group 24 HOURS Mattei and Digital Communication / Meet The Media Guru. After the MOMA in New York and an international tour, from Australia to the Far East, the show finally arrives in Europe and previewed in Milan.A path built with more than 500 works, a journey through the creative and digital culture as an innovative language applied to animation and film: the first feature film dedicated to Luxo Jr. (1986) to the great masterpieces such as Monster & Co (2001), Toy Story (1, 2 and 3), Ratatouille (2007), WALL · E (2008), Up (2009) until Cars 2 (2011) and with an anticipation of the Brave, due out in 2012."Many do not know that most of the artists who work at Pixar use all the resources of art - drawing, tempera paints, pastels and sculpting techniques - such as digital media. Most of their works "- writes John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studio and founder of Pixar (along with Steve Jobs) who will be in Milan on November 21 for a public event -" come to life during the development of a project, while we are building a story or simply while watching a movie. The rich artistic heritage that is formed for each film rarely leaves our studies, but the final product - the film - which reaches all parts of the world would not be possible without this being artistic and creative. "The exhibition presents to the audience the last creative phase of the hidden masters of the world into four sections - People, Stories, Worlds and Digital Convergence - and two special installations and the Artscape Zoetrope, which use digital technology to revive the exhibits in the exhibition, designed by Fabio Fornasari, and recreate the excitement of the animation.

Il Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea di Milano presenta la mostra PIXAR – 25 anni di animazione, curata in Italia da Maria Grazia Mattei, promossa dal Comune di Milano – Cultura, Expo, Moda, Design e prodotta dal PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea, 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 ORE e da Mattei Digital Communication/ Meet The Media Guru. Dopo il MOMA a New York e un tour internazionale, dall’Australia all’Estremo Oriente, la mostra arriva finalmente in Europa e in anteprima a Milano.

Un percorso costruito con oltre 500 opere, un viaggio attraverso la creatività e la cultura digitale come linguaggio innovativo applicato all’animazione e al cinema: dal primo lungometraggio dedicato a Luxo Jr.(1986) ai grandi capolavori come Monster & Co (2001), Toy Story (1, 2 e 3), Ratatouille (2007), WALL·E (2008), Up (2009) sino a Cars 2 (2011) e con un’anticipazione di Brave, in uscita nel 2012.

«Molti non sanno che la maggior parte degli artisti che lavorano in Pixar utilizzano i mezzi propri dell’Arte – il disegno, i colori a tempera, i pastelli e le tecniche di scultura – come quelli dei digital media. La maggior parte delle loro opere» – scrive John Lasseter, chief creative officer di Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studio e fondatore di Pixar (insieme a Steve Jobs) che sarà a Milano il 21 novembre per un evento pubblico – «prendono vita durante lo sviluppo di un progetto, mentre stiamo costruendo una storia o semplicemente mentre guardiamo un film. La ricchezza del patrimonio artistico che viene plasmato per ogni film raramente esce dai nostri studi, ma il prodotto finale – il lungometraggio – che raggiunge ogni parte del mondo, non sarebbe possibile senza questa fase artistica e creativa».

La mostra presenta finalmente al grande pubblico la fase creativa e nascosta dei maestri dell’animazione mondiale in quattro sezioni – Personaggi, Storie, Mondi e Digital Convergence – e due speciali installazioni l’Artscape e lo Zoetrope, che utilizzano la tecnologia digitale per far rivivere le opere esposte nel percorso espositivo, progettato da Fabio Fornasari, e ricreare l’emozione dell’animazione.
